Hey everybody it s not over yet More rain to come in the Medford Burlington County area today

Rainfall for Burlington County now totals 5.4 inches and the rain has subsided somewhat in many places. However it is expected to pick up again and the Weather Service is predicting another 2 to 2.5 inches.At the moment we are looking at less rain than the 10-plus predicted earlier in the AM. However, all the gauges on the Rancocas Creek are at flood stage.There are still portions of 36 County roads closed because of flooding or fallen trees. These include:• County Route 541 (High Street to Woodlane Road), Mount Holly (flooding)• Mount Holly Bypass near Rancocas Road, Mount Holly (flooding)• Rancocas Road and Levitt Parkway, Willingboro (flooding)• North Main Street (Church Road to Vincentown Road), Vincentown (flooding)• Hartford Road (Route 38 to Union Mill Road), Mount Laurel (flooding)• Mill Street (Portion), Mount Holly (flooding)• North Pemberton Road (Birmingham to Arney’s Mount Road) Pemberton (flooding) Continued...

Laurel Road (Fostertown Road to Ark Road), (flooding)• Bayberry Street (EastWest Lakeshore), Pemberton (flooding)Among other reports received . . .Another section of Route 70, between Washington Boulevard and Dakota Trail in Pemberton Township, was closed because of a downed tree.Approximately 100 to 125 residents were being evacuated from the Columbus Park section of Burlington City around 5:30 AM because of flooding (two inches of water in homes).There are still (only) 49 residents in the three shelters set up by the County in cooperation with the Red Cross.
