The drivers of both a pickup truck and motorcycle that collided Saturday afternoon on Bayberry Lane were taken to Norwalk Hospital for treatment of what firefighters called non-life-threatening injuries.

Westport battling back from scary nor'easter
Electrical problem triggers smoke at Compo Shopping Center
A motorcycle and pickup truck collided Saturday afternoon on Bayberry Lane, but the drivers of both vehicles suffered injuries that required hospitalization, according to Westport firefighters.
The collision took place about 2 p.m. in the area of 330 Bayberry Lane, and when emergency-services personnel arrived on the scene, both the motorcycle rider and pickup driver were on the grass alongside the vehicles, but appeared to have minor injuries.
However, both were placed on backboards by Westport EMS personnel and transported to Norwalk Hospital for additional treatment. Their injuries were non-life-threatening, firefighters said.
A fluid spill from the pickup truck was cleaned up by firefighters, who cleared the scene at 3:12 p.m.
The north- and southbound lanes of Bayberry Lane were blocked while emergency services were on the scene.
The accident is being investigated by Westport police.
