Angola Over 3 000 Tonnes of Agricultural Goods Produced in Namibe

Namibe — Some 3.000 tonnes of agricultural products were produced in the south-western Namibe Province, in the first half of this year, representing 13 tonnes less than the same period of 2009 and 2011.
On the mentioned period were produced 45 tonnes of maize, 404 of onion, 190 of manioc, 832 of tomatoes, 195 of cabbage, 130 of sweet potatoes, 400 of mangoes, among other vegetables in an area of 9.982 hectares.
A report from the agriculture sector says that the production does not meet the demand.
